    CHURCH BELIEFS

At Life Vision Church, we embrace the rich heritage of our past and embrace the exciting unlimited possibilities of our present. As we look forward to the future, we remain open to God’s direction. As with all living things, our church is always in a state of growth. We believe we are called to grow deeper in our relationship with God, grow deeper in our relationships with each other and reach further to impact our community and world with the love of God.  We are VISIONARIES!

    We believe...

    • The Bible to be inspired and the only infallible, authoritative Word of God. (2 Tim 3:16-17; Matt 4:4; Ps 19:7-8)

    • That there is one God; eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. (Gen 1:1; Deut 6:4-5; Matt 28.19, Mk 12:29-30; Jn 1:1-3)

    • In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in the blessed hope of his personal, visible future return to this earth to receive to Himself His Blood-bought Church, that it may be with Him forever. (Isa 7:14; Lk 24:39; Acts 1:9; 2:22-24; Rom 8:34; 1 Cor 15:4; 2 Cor 5:21; Eph 4:8-10; Heb 7:25-26; 9:12; 1 Pet 2:22)

    • The only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ. (Rom 3:21-25; 8:1-4; 10:9-10; 2 Cor 5:18-21; Gal 1:4; Eph 1:7; Col 1:14;)

    • Regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for one’s personal salvation (Eph 2:5; Titus 3:5; John 3:5-8; I Peter 1:3)

    • The redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human body in answer to believing in prayer. (Isa 53:5)

    • That the baptism of the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, with the evidence of speaking in tongues, is given to Believers who ask for it. (Acts 1:4-5; 8; 2:1-4; 8:15-19; 11:14-17; 19:1-7)

    • In the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling enables the Christian to live a Holy life. (Jn 17:15-19; 1 Thes 4:3-7; 5:23; Heb 2:11)

    • In the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation. (Jn 3:16; Matt 25:46; 13:49-50; Rom 6:23; 2 Thes 1:8-12)

    • In water baptism and the observance of the Lord’s Supper. (Matt 28:19-20; Mk 16:16; Acts 10:47-48; 2:38-39; 1 Cor 11:23-26)

    • Every blessing we receive from God comes through the merits of the Atonement (Jesus’ complete sacrifice on Calvary). (Rom 8:1-4; 2 Cor 5:18-21; Gal 1:4-5; Eph 1:7-10)

    • In the sacredness of marriage between one man and one woman and family commitment. We are an advocate for strong family values. (Matt 19:4-6; Gen 2:24; Eph 5:25-33)

    • In the freedom of worship with every form of expression being done in decency and in order, not drawing attention to oneself.  We define order in our worship services as following the guidance of the Holy Spirit through the leadership of the Pastor.  (2 Cor 3:17; Psa 100:1-5; John 4:21-24)

    • We believe that the Holy Spirit imparts spiritual gifts to believers for ministry to one another, the church, and the world. (1 Cor 12:8-10; Eph 4:11-13)
